The look, for less
Samsung, Nokia sliders, eat your hearts out!
Ever figure you could get a color phone for around four grand? Admittedly, you can't expect a lot of features at this price. You can call and text – and that's pretty much it. You don't even get a business card function. The LCD has limited color depth, and you guessed it – it doesn't even have a camera! So what's this phone's biggest come-on? It's got its own sense of style, that's what.
Its looks are certainly unique, in an almost-organic sort of way. The slide mechanism, while giving the phone a bit of flair, looks a bit suspect. The lack of any external markings on the phone give it a certain air of mystery.
No external markings also mean you have to remember what all the buttons do That circle? Makes you think you can move up and down, left and right with it. Fact is, you only get up and down controls. A shame since this phone comes with two time-wasters where a four-way pad would have sure come in handy – a Tetris clone and a Break-out pretender. Finally, something to do when you've grown tired of texting and talking.
The biggest irritant though is that the keys aren't as responsive as they should be, with the key travel being minimal at best. This makes texting quite a chore.
Again, this is a basic phone. Don't want something second-hand? Add a few more bucks and you can get style thrown in with the same old basic functions. Erick Lirios

LOVE The look!
HATE Limited customization.
WE SAY Basic as basic goes but at least you get style and color for an amazing price. Buy one each for Globe, Smart and Sun, and it's still cheaper than a Sony Ericsson K750i.
