MOBILE PHONE
The N stands for niiiiice
The N-Series as a whole illustrates how far Nokia has come – 2-megapixel cameras, multimedia features, connectivity, and cutting-edge yet classic design. And with the N70, we think Nokia has hit the proverbial jackpot.
The N70 package comes with a USB cable – an accessory that is usually sold separately – which indicates that PC synchronization is important and encouraged. Wireless synchronization is also possible via Bluetooth and you can also use the phone as a wireless modem.
The extra effort of installing the Nokia PC Suite in your computer reveals features that provide the phone more pogi points. Accessing data stored in your phone – from messages, to contacts, even ring tones – is as effortless as opening files in a flash drive; installing programs to your N70 is a breeze; and you can even manage your music playlist with it. You can also set the PC Suite to automatically save photos taken using your phone in your computer the moment you're connected via Bluetooth or USB.
Sliding down the N70's back cover automatically activates the 2-megapixel camera. You can also use the capture key on the side of the phone as you hold it sideways, like a real digital camera. And like a real digicam, it has a built-in flash that works up to two meters away. When you use the camera hot key, there's no need to rotate the photo after saving it because using the button instinctively tells it which side should be up.
There's a considerable difference between a 1-megapixel camera phone and the N70. Aside from producing photos that have richer color, the N70 captures little details that a 1-megapixel camera won't normally get hold of. Most photo file sizes exceed 400KB of about 1600 x 1200 pixels, underscoring that the phone is capable of producing print-worthy pictures.

Videos shot using the N70 are likewise clearer than your average video-capable phone; maximum video resolution of the N70 is 352 x 288 pixels compared to the 6680's 176 x 145. That's a big step forward.
You can store MP3s and videos on the phone or memory card, then organize several playlists using its built-in music player, or listen to an FM station. Playback via headphones is in stereo, and sound quality is top-notch.
Even if we only discussed its highlights: print-quality photos, PC connectivity, multimedia features, it's as clear as a 2-megapixel photo. The N70 is a great phone, and its clear-cut classy design says it doesn't want to be replaced by a newer model anytime soon. - Chrissy D. Icamina
