BLUETOOTH HEADSET
Lend us your ear

If Telco's want to drive up voice traffic (aka income), may we humbly suggest that they start bundling Bluetooth headsets with their compatible mobile phone offerings. Allow us to add that a model such as the Jabra BT-150 would do nicely, thank you.

The BT-150 has a more "traditional" Bluetooth headset design – and it's obviously not of the same species as their FS-258 (aka "ear slug"). The reversible ear-hook, central function button and side-mounted volume controls may be traits that the BT-150 shares with other competing headsets, but the fact is, this ergonomic design works.

Performance-wise, we were hard-pressed to find something to nitpick. Pairing with our Nokia N70 was easy, and we found its range was more 8 meters than 10 – but then, we're never THAT far from our mobile phone to begin with. Initial charging time is 2 hours, and its standby time of 110 hours is more than enough – you'll be recharging your mobile phone before this black bean calls it quits. Voice transmission was loud and clear, even in mall environments.

This Jabra represents a quality Bluetooth headset at a very competitive price. That's probably the biggest problem – soon everyone will have one of these! JayJ Ramos
