No-brainer brain
The 530H is bursting at the seams with features, but it still maintains user-friendly appeal. It's a straight-up, solid performer that functions as a multimedia hub. Music, videos, photos – you name it – can all be gobbled up by this baby. And with its 100x DVD burner, you can transfer movies from the hard drive to a DVD in less than seven minutes.
A variety of input jacks including FireWire, and USB sockets are at your disposal. You can even run your cable TV connection via the built-in tuner so you can record programs without turning on the television.
Sadly, it doesn't let you record on +R, +RW, and -RAM discs even though it allows playback. The burner also abruptly stops straight-to-disc recordings if your DVD-disc isn't up to speed, so it's best to get discs that are capable of 16x write speeds.
Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, the 530H lets you play back videos even while recording. So if you just can't wait to see Lindsay Lohan's Jingle Bell Rock routine (rawrrrrr!) until after Mean Girls is over, it's no problem!
Pioneer's 530H operates well, it's reasonably priced, and it records Lindsay Lohan. With performance like this, you better reach for your credit card and get one right now! Edong Mendoza
