PRJOECTOR
Instant movie theater
Small room, Big screen

For those with small living areas, this is the projector you've long been waiting for. Presenting the Toshiba TDP-ET10. Don't be fooled by its sleek Star Wars-esque exterior; not only is it sexy, it fares very well in form and function. No matter what device you hook it up to, the Toshiba TDP-ET10, has a video connection for it. It lacks a DVI port, but it does have HDMI for newer and more updated video players. All these connections are located in front of the projector, which is smart as it hides all the clutter of wires in front.

Another welcome addition is the 5.1 surround sound system. Now don't expect thundering audio here, but do expect TV-like volume levels supporting Dolby Digital and accommodating analog and digital signals, not bad for a built-in feature.

Although the ET10 has a native widescreen resolution of 845x480, High Definition video signals like 720p and 1080i are scaled very well. We ran a couple of high definition movies using an HTPC and the projector still showed a big difference in video quality as compared to 480p using a standard DVD movie.

The piece de resistance however is the Extreme Short Projection feature . We we're able to get a 10ft wide viewing size from only a 5ft projection distance, that's - pretty amazing. Jay Padua
