Command Center
Vista ready, wire free
To put it bluntly, the Logitech LX710 is like an overgrown remote control for your computer. It has all the keys of a standard keyboard plus a slew of ever-useful multimedia keys that the generic ones lack.
Flanking ye olde alphanumeric keys are the audiovisual controls. On the left side are the picture/photo tweaks that let you zoom and rotate images. There’s even a dedicated button for opening your default photo editing software, e.g. Adobe Photoshop. Over on the right side are the music controls. There’s a button that lets you open either Windows Media Player or iTunes. Track advance/repeat buttons are also conveniently located just below them.
Of the lot of specialized keys, the cluster at the center proves to be the most useful. The volume controls are constantly on the ready should you need to adjust your speakers’ loudness. Skype-ers are also in for a treat since the LX710 also has a button that instantly launches your default VOIP program.
It's sleek, it's sexy, and it literally comes with no strings attached - not like most hot chicks we know. If you're planning on upgrading to a more media-centric PC setup, this baby is a must-have. Joey Tuazon

LOVE Great design. TV-like on-screen displays. VOIP button.
HATE Heavy mouse. Limited range.
WE SAY Definitely a great combination of form and function, plus it reduces unsightly computer clutter.
