Point and shoot...
Point-and-shoot cameras are, by their nature, the easiest to use. There's a good chance that the photo will be adequate enough for print – more so for blogs and social networks.
Aside from its distrubingly cute choices of color, what sets apart the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T2 from the rest? For starters, its 4GB of internal memory renders memory cards redundant. The T2 also has a touch-screen interface, making navigation and setup rather easy. Worried about smudging the display? It comes with a stylus, making designated focal points more accurate. A help menu is readily available should you find yourself stumped.
Aside from face-detection, the T2 has a smile shutter setting that takes a picture as soon as your subject's caught smiling. With 8-MPs of resolution, Sony's proven Carl Zeiss folded-lens system, and a Bionz image processor, you can expect image quality to be very good.
Though the T2 boasts of higher sensitivity modes, the resulting images were still noisy. Final nits? The lens, due to its location, can be easily obscured by a finger. And it requires a proprietary USB cable for photo transfer. Thank goodness for 4GB then! Migs Gerardo
